answered prayer & miracles

A little background. We have been a single vehicle family since before our first baby was born. It makes a person plan a little more before going out--especially after the accumulation of children! Now, this is not necessarily a bad thing. I may post a little about what I learned through all that necessary planning. But not now. Right now, I am going to show you our answered prayer!

our blessing
we prayed as a family
during our nightly devotions
that God would GIVE us
a second vehicle
and He did!
(deep trunk!)

This is a gift directly from our Father's hand
and we are thankful!

another gift from God
that I did not plant or cultivate
or in any way contribute to

and now,
our
MIRACLE

one of our already-growing-tomato plants has 2 buds
YEAH--- see those yellow flowers!!
they will be tomatoes!!!
yes, I know... you already know that
but I am EXCITED!!

(never realized how furry tomato plants are--lol)

and the tomato seeds I planted have sprouted!
beautiful!
God is so good!
To fully understand this miracle you must first know that I have not ever (and I've tried numerous times) successfully grown ANYTHING from seeds - not once. not flowers. not vegetables. not herbs. not anything. (I have planted and seen flowers grow from bulbs - but not seeds--just had to clarify that.) And most bought plants I have been given have died quickly. Those that did not die were taken over by weeds... ugh! So to walk out to our garden plot and see those little yellow flowers, and to look in my window sill above my kitchen sink and see those sprouts... well, it was a hug from God. That's pretty much all there is to it! The sprouts literally came up today. Almost every time I was at the sink I saw a new one. And now there are *8*.

great faith in a rotten plank will land me in the stream.

Courage is not the absence of fear,
but rather the judgement that something else is more important.
