Resolution - 10

Nehemiah 2:4
"...So I prayed to the God of heaven."
Nehemiah 2:8
"...And the king granted me,
according to the good hand of my God
upon me."

The story of Nehemiah is an amazing one - wine bearer for an heathen king, heart sore because of the desolation of his home... prayed to God... and God used this heathen king to grant Nehemiah's request. Can God not still use anyone - ANYONE - to give aid to his children in time of need... to bring GLORY to HIS Name?

This story is told by my pastor -
but gives an illustration that I love:

An older widow lady had a habit of praying out loud each morning from her front porch. Her neighbor was an atheist man who would often mock her prayers and ask her why she prayed every morning. One particular morning, she told the Lord of her need of food - as she was poor and without. Again the man next door mocked her prayers, saying the no one was listening. The next morning, there was a large bag of groceries on her front stoop. As she looked up to heaven to say her prayers, she praised God for his goodness and provision. The atheist man laughed and said that he, not God, had given this bounty to her.
To which she replied, "God answered my prayers!! And He used the devil to do it!!"
AMEN!!
God will answer in HIS time; and with HIS own methods - not bound by our human logic - PRAISE GOD!

Little faith in a strong plank will carry me over the stream,
great faith in a rotten plank will land me in the stream.

Courage is not the absence of fear,
but rather the judgement that something else is more important.
